How to Reach Us

Call 1 (786) 358-3031 and you'll reach the shop directly, not a call center reading from a script. We're based at 850 NW 42nd Ave, Miami, FL 33126, right on the edge of Riverside, about a mile west of Downtown Miami and a mile southwest of Overtown. If you're calling about a door that won't open, have the brand on the opener rail handy if you can see it, and know whether the door is stuck open or stuck shut. That one detail changes what we bring on the truck. We don't run an answering service that books blind and figures it out later - whoever picks up has done this work and can tell you over the phone whether it sounds like a spring, a cable, or a sensor problem before anyone drives out.

What We Actually Do

We work on residential garage doors: torsion and extension springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, and openers. A lot of the calls we take are spring replacements, because a broken torsion spring is the single most common reason a door won't move at all. We also handle bent track from a car backing into it wrong, worn rollers that have started grinding, and openers that run but won't talk to the remote or the wall button anymore. What we don't do is new construction framing or structural garage work - if the header or the opening itself needs rebuilding, that's a job for a general contractor, and we'll tell you that straight instead of taking the work anyway. On the repair side, if a door is old enough and beat up enough that a fix would just be the first of several, we'll say so and talk replacement instead of stacking repairs on a door that's done.

Where We Work

Our shop sits on NW 42nd Avenue, close enough to Little Havana, Allapattah, and Edgewater that most of our calls are within a few miles. We also get regular jobs out toward Brownsville and Gladeview, both four to five miles off, and into Miami Springs and North Bay Village at six miles. Farther out we cover Coral Gables, South Miami, Miami Shores, and Doral, and we go as far as Kendall and Miami Lakes on the south and northwest ends of the area. A lot of the housing stock we work on across these neighborhoods was built between 1953 and 2005, with most of it dating to the 1960s and 70s - which matters, because a door and opener from that era often runs on hardware nobody makes parts for anymore, and half the job is figuring out what will actually fit before we quote it.

Who Turns Up

Whoever answers the phone is who shows up, and they'll have looked at what you described before they ring your doorbell. Miami's climate runs mild year-round, but salt air and humidity still work on unprotected steel and springs faster than people expect, so a lot of what we see is corrosion-driven wear on hardware that would have lasted longer somewhere drier. We carry common spring sizes and roller types on the truck, but some parts for older or less common opener models have to be ordered, and we'll tell you that up front rather than let you assume it's a same-visit fix. We're not going to sell you a full door replacement for a problem that's really just a bent track or a worn roller. If it's a five-minute adjustment, that's what we'll do.

Questions

Frequently asked

Straight answers about garage door repair in Miami. Still unsure? Ask us directly.

Do you work on doors in Coral Gables or just near your shop on NW 42nd Ave?

We cover Coral Gables regularly, along with South Miami, Doral, and the neighborhoods closer to the shop like Little Havana and Allapattah. Distance from our address on NW 42nd Avenue is one factor in scheduling, but it's not a reason we'd turn down a call anywhere in the area we serve.

My house is from the 1960s - will you have parts for my old opener?

A lot of homes in this area were built in that same window, so we see openers and torsion hardware from that era often. Common spring and roller sizes are usually on the truck. Some specific opener parts for older models have to be ordered, and we'll tell you that before we start rather than after.

Is a broken spring something you can fix same day?

Torsion spring replacement is one of the most common jobs we take, and in most cases we can source the right spring size without a special order. Whether it's same day depends on the schedule that day and what's already booked, so call and ask rather than assuming either way.

Do you do new garage installations or just repair?

We work on existing residential garage doors - springs, cables, tracks, panels, and openers. We don't do structural framing or new-construction garage builds. If your opening itself needs rebuilding, that's outside what we handle, and we'll say so instead of taking on work we're not set up for.
