Questions homeowners ask before they call
Answers on how to reach Miami Garage Door Co, what jobs we take on, which neighborhoods we cover from our 33126 shop, and who shows up at the door.
How fast can someone get to my house in Miami for a broken spring?
We don't quote a fixed response time because it depends on where you are relative to our shop at 850 NW 42nd Ave and how the traffic is running that hour. A snapped spring or cable is treated as urgent and we try to get someone out same day - call 1-786-358-3031 and say it's a safety issue so it gets flagged that way.
Do you work outside the Miami city limits?
Yes, within reason. We regularly cover areas from Riverside and Little Havana near our shop out to places like Doral, Hialeah, and Kendall, roughly 9 to 12 miles out. If you're further than that, call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth a truck coming or whether you'd do better closer to home.
My house is older - can you even get parts for my door?
A lot of homes here date to the 1960s and '70s, and some of that original hardware is genuinely hard to source parts for anymore. When that's the case, we say so and talk replacement instead of pretending a patch will hold. We'd rather tell you that up front than have you pay for a repair that doesn't last.
Do you give quotes over the phone?
Not firm ones. Spring size, opener model, and how far a track has bent all change the price, and we can't see any of that from a phone call. We can give you a rough range once you describe the symptom, but the real number comes after someone's looked at the door in person.
What's the address if I need to find your shop?
850 NW 42nd Ave, Miami, FL 33126, in the Grapeland Heights area a few miles west of Downtown. It's not a customer showroom, mainly where the trucks are based, but you're welcome to use it to find us or drop something off.
How to Reach Us
Call 1-786-358-3031. That's the number that rings the shop, not a call center, and it's the fastest way to get a job looked at, whether that's a spring that let go overnight or an opener that's started grinding.
Our shop is at 850 NW 42nd Ave, Miami, FL 33126. If you want to drop by instead of calling, that's the address - we're not a storefront with a showroom, just where the trucks stage.
We don't run a live chat or a text-back bot. If you call and nobody picks up, leave the make of your door and what it's doing (won't open, won't close, off the track, making noise) so whoever calls back isn't starting cold. Photos help more than a long description - if you can text one to the number above after a call, do it.
One honest note: we can't quote a repair price over the phone without knowing the spring size, the opener model, or how bent a track actually is. Anyone who gives you a firm number sight unseen is guessing.

Where We Work
We're based at 850 NW 42nd Ave, in the Grapeland Heights area, and most of our calls come from within a few miles of there. That puts Riverside at our doorstep, Little Havana a mile west, West Flagler three miles west, Overtown and Downtown Miami about a mile in the other direction, and Allapattah and Edgewater two miles out.
From there we range further: Coral Gables and Miami Shores around 7 miles, Coral Terrace and Miami Springs at 6, Hialeah and Doral out toward 9 and 10 miles, and Kendall and Miami Lakes at the edge of our range around 12 miles. Key Biscayne, Bal Harbour, and Pinecrest are all reachable but sit at the far end of a service day.
If you're outside this rough radius, call anyway - we'll tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to come out or whether you'd be better served closer to home. We'd rather say that up front than have a truck cross half the county for a job that could've gone to someone five minutes from you.
Who Turns Up
Whoever answers the shop's dispatch that day handles your call and, if it's a repair, works the job themselves - there's no separate sales visit before the person with tools shows up. They'll look at the actual spring, track, or opener before saying what's wrong, not just what you described over the phone, because a door that won't close can mean three or four different things.
We don't send a crew of unnamed subcontractors; the tech on your driveway is the one doing the repair and the one who can tell you, standing there, whether a $40 part fixes it or whether the door's old enough that you're better off replacing the whole unit.
We won't invent a warranty term or a certification we can't back up here, and we're not going to claim a response time we can't guarantee - Miami traffic on I-95 or the Palmetto at 5pm affects an ETA more than we'd like. What we can tell you is that the person who picks up the phone at 1-786-358-3031 is trying to get someone to your door the same day when the job is a safety issue like a snapped cable or a spring under load.
